Activision Blizzard will begin a fervent push into themobile gamingspace in the coming years. As confirmed in a recentinvestor call(viaGameSpot), the company’s president Daniel Alegre says the company will eventually see all of its franchises arrive on mobile.

Although console and PC seemingly remain cornerstone platforms for the firm, it seems the company is taking the financial potential of mobile gaming more seriously.

“We need to ensure that we’re enabling our franchises on the billions of mobile devices that are available right now,” says Alegre. “That’s by far our biggest opportunity, and we’re investing meaningfully to capitalize on this and to take all our franchises to mobileover time. That’s really, really important for us.”

Which Activision Blizzard franchise would you like to see more of on mobile?

It’s unsurprising considering the company’s success withCall of Duty: Mobile. The shooter spinoff has seen more than 300 million downloads globally since its launch a year ago. The title launched in China last month, so this number’s likely to grow. The firm also owns King, the maker of the Candy Crush series.

What Activision Blizzard mobile games could debut?

As for its forthcoming titles, a Crash Bandicoot adaptation dubbed Crash: On The Run is set for launch next year. A mobileDiablotitle has been in the works since 2018, arousing the ire of established fans.

As for its other franchises that could arrive on mobile, Activision Blizzard has plenty to choose from. We’ve already seen Overwatch launch on the Nintendo Switch last year. World of Warcraft and StarCraft could make for interesting handheld experiences, too. Both Tony Hawk and Spyro have visited mobile devices before, but these franchises could benefit from future titles.
