June 10, 2025

Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to read another installment of Comment Authority here atAndroid Authority. Comment Authority is a weekly roundup where we highlight some of the best comments from you, our readers. This week we saw some good discussions in the political realm, with both the hot topics ofZTE’s American woesand the vote tostop the repeal of Net Neutrality. We also saw a lot of comments in ourreview for the Nokia 7 Plus, and you guys seemed to really like talking about Verizon’s new mystery company calledVisible.

With all that in mind, let’s read some of the best comments of the week!

When it comes to ZTE, Trump’s in a difficult spot

ZTE has certainly hada rough 2018 so far. However, it looks like the beleaguered smartphone manufacturer may see some reprieve, asPresident Trump himselfmight be stepping in to help keep the company alive. Regardless of your feelings about the U.S. President, you have to admit that he’s in a tricky situation.

One reader by the name ofbalcobomber25sums up the quandary quite well in this comment:

Is Net Neutrality really such a black-and-white issue?

The arguments for or againstNet Neutralitycreate passionate defenders on both sides. While the general consensus here atAndroid Authority(andelsewhere around the web) is that Net Neutrality is good and should be preserved, plenty of our readers would disagree. In a recent article about howNet Neutrality will now vanishon a specific date this year, the comments got pretty heated.

However, one reader going by the monikerJawboxfeels that the issue has been painted as too black-and-white:

Ummm…are you Batman?

We posted an article this week aboutVisible, a new mobile service provider that — at the time — we called a Verizon MVNO. However, it is not a Verizon MVNO, at least not according to Visible. We wrote about the confusion ina longer articlea few days later.

While the case is now closed that Visible is actually owned and operated by Verizon, one reader (who may-or-may-not-be Batman posing asShane Britton) did some of their own digging, and found evidence to support that Visible might actually be a Verizon MVNO after all:

Unintentional (or intentional?) rhyming comment of the week

The comments in our review of the newNokia 7 Pluswere mostly the normal chit-chat about specs and comparisons to other devices on the market. However, buried at the bottom of the list was a simple comment that didn’t seek to offend and just wanted to add a little joy to the world.

That’s because the comment is actually a little poem, with two rhyming stanzas. It’s hard to tell ifΈλληναςactually meant for the comment to rhyme or if it just came out that way, but we think it’s really pleasant:
