The Galaxy S11 series battery was pictured in the SafetyKorea certification database. It features the model number EB-BG988ABY. Previous leaks have suggested that the Galaxy S11 Plus will come bearing the model number SM-G988. Hence, it’s believed that this particular 5,000mAh battery belongs to the S11 Plus.

In comparison to the rumored Galaxy S11 Plus, theS10 PlusandNote 10 Plusfeature 4,100mAh and 4,300mAh batteries respectively. In fact, only three flagship-grade phones this year sported a 5,000mAh or higher battery. Increasing the battery capacity on the S11 series seems like a logical step for Samsung. The S11 Plus would be the more expensive of the 2020 flagship lineup. It is expected that the device will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display which would theoretically consume a lot of power. While the phone is expected to offer the ability to switch to a 60Hz refresh rate, a bigger battery will definitely boost screen-on time when set at 120Hz.

The Galaxy S11’s big battery could support 45W fast charging since the Note 10 Plus also does so. However, there have been no major rumors or leaks regarding the S11 Plus’ charging speeds.
