Google Camera with Night Sight hits Galaxy S10 series thanks to this port

July 01, 2025

TheGoogle Camera apphas been ported to theSnapdragon 855versions of theGalaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e. The app brings HDR+, portrait mode, and the much-talked-aboutNight Sightmode to the new Samsung flagships.

The port was developed by anXDA Forumsmember and it seemingly works without major compromise (it even works with the Galaxy S10’s wide-angle lens).XDAprovided some sample photos and it looks like both Samsung’s native camera app and Google Camera offer similar quality images. That is, until you get to portrait mode and Night Sight mode, where the Google Camera app is clearly superior.

The Google Camera app is a hot commodity at the moment thanks to its AI-based features. By default, however, it’s only compatible with the Google Pixel and older Nexus smartphones.

Providing you have the latest Galaxy S10 update, installing the Google Camera app on the Galaxy S10 series doesn’t look super complicated. you may view the full instructions, and more images, over atXDA.

The Galaxy S10 Plus camera has generally been well-received by critics, though our David Imel wasn’t a big fan of it. Read hisGalaxy S10 Plus reviewat the link to find out why.
