Google Fi finally has an unlimited plan

August 02, 2025

Today,Google announcedthat its mobile carrier,Google Fi, is officially receiving an unlimited plan that includes data, calls, and texts. Until this point, Fi has only offered one plan: the Flexible plan where users only had to pay for the data they used.

Google Fi Unlimited pricing and features

Pricing for the new Unlimited plan starts at $70 a month for one line, $60/line a month for two lines, $50/line a month for three lines, and $45/line a month for four to six lines. That puts the plan in the same price territory asthe competition.

On top of that, the Unlimited plan comes with an included 100GB Google One membership, discounts on Google products, and expert Google customer support. And now thatGoogle One includes automatic phone backups, you might as well consider that a part of the bundle as well.

The plan also comes with the benefits it has always had. Users get international coverage in more than 170 countries, a selection of compatible devices can bepurchased through installment plans, it offers seamless switching between carriers for the best possible network connectivity, and data hotspot functionality is included. Also, compatible devices benefit from a free24/7 Google VPN.

It also doesn’t look like Google Fi’sFlexible planis leaving either, giving users the option to choose what plan best suits their needs. So if you don’t have any use for an unlimited plan, Google still has you covered.

What’s the catch?

As is with all unlimited plans, there are a few caveats. Google will reduce data speeds to 256kbps after 22GB per person, and Google says that it “may” reduce video streaming quality to 480p. We aren’t sure if the 480p video streaming limit is triggered after the user reaches the 22GB mark or if it will do this in other situations as well.

Other than that, there really isn’t anything else bad to say about the plan yet. Google Fi has proven that it’s coverage and reliability are top tier since its original launch asProject Fi in 2015, and each incremental update to the service makes it even more compelling.
