Using thesefactory images, users can flash their Pixel C back to stock in case they screw up while toying with the device’s software. Of course, for that to happen, there needs to be custom ROMs for the Pixel C in the first place. Google’s taken care of that as well by releasing the proprietary binaries, codenamed “dragon”, as well. This bit of news is sure to delight ROM developers.

The Pixel C is Google’s take on a convertible device, which works as a tablet when you want to use the device for media consumption and entertainment, and as a laptop once you dock the tablet on the keyboard accessory (sold separately) that can be used for work.

There’s also theApple iPad Prothat’s based on iOS 9. Meanwhile, the Pixel C runs on Android OS, although there is a report suggesting thatGoogle originally tested Chrome OS on the Pixel C.
