Here’s the official word on in-box chargers for the OnePlus 9 flagships

When Apple first ditched the in-box charger with theiPhone 12, Android OEMs like Samsung and Xiaomi mocked the company for doing so. We all know what happened after that. Both Samsung and Xiaomi removed the charger from the packaging of their respective flagships. While the latter has stillmade the accessory optional, the South Korean brand seems to begoing all-inon the charger-less approach for its phones. This begs the question — What will OnePlus do? Will it bundle a charger with theOnePlus 9 seriesof phones? Thankfully, we have an answer.
Replying to a comment onan official forum postteasing the OnePlus 9 series, CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the new phones will indeed come with a charger inside the box.
OnePlus usually bundles a Warp Charger with its flagship phones. TheOnePlus 8Tcomes with a 65W charging adapter, and the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are also expected to get the same.
Given that OnePlus flagships aregetting more expensivewith each passing year, it might be a relief for many to know that they won’t have to shell out extra for a fast wired charger this time.
