Indiegogo partners with Arrow Electronics to give additional support to feasible projects
August 10, 2025
Socrowdfundinghas developed something of a reputation as a fickle mistress. Although platforms likeKickstarterandIndiegogohave let creative innovators get products out into the world that otherwise wouldn’t have seen the light of day, it’s not uncommon to see these projects collapse under the weight of their own ambition, leaving funders disappointed. Indiegogo may have come up with an interesting solution to at least part of this problem via apartnership with Arrow Electronics.
The idea is to create a system by which feasible projects are given additional support, increasing their likelihood of making it all the way to a final product. Arrow will prowl through burgeoning projects, and select those that have potential. They will then give these projects access to Arrow’s manufacturing capabilities, the advice of their network of expert engineers, and design and supply chain logistics. They will also be given discounted components to help bring their gadgets to life. Arrow says these assisting packages will range from $20,000 to over $500,000 in value.

Not only will this give tech entrepreneurs access to resources that otherwise would have been outside their reach, it will also serve as a kind of seal of approval that will increase confidence in a project, driving more funding from the crowd as a whole. Indeed, we’d like to see more partnerships like this come to crowdfunding platforms in the future, but let us know what you think about this arrangement in the comments below!
