LG will unveil the G6 on February 26 at MWC 2017
June 02, 2025
LG has sent out media invites for an event that will take place on February 26 in Barcelona, a day before Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) officially kicks off. The invite shows a silhouette of a smartphone along with the “See More, Play More” tagline, which is consistent with rumors that LG will unveil the G6 smartphone.
The tagline reiterates that the upcoming flagship from LG will have a larger display when compared with its predecessor, the G5. The South Korean company has already confirmed that theG6 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. That’s the exact aspect ratio of the image in the invite and equates to 564 pixels per inch.

The accompanyingpress releasealso reveals the addition of heat pipes for dissipating processor heat, enhanced AI and quality tests that are “higher than international standards”.
Other specs haven’t been confirmed yet, but the company didrelease a videoabout a week ago that hints at some of the features we can expect to see on the upcoming G6 smartphone. These features include a compact and waterproof body, improved reliability and something teased as “capture it all at once” – which we assume has something to do with the camera.

Other credible rumors suggest that the device will sport the Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, a dual camera setup, wireless charging, and the latest version of Android with LG’s user interface on top. If you want to know more about the device, check out ourLG G6 rumorspost.
In addition to the G6, the company might also announce a couple of new smartwatches at its MWC event, although this obviously hasn’t been confirmed yet.Two LG smartwatcheshave recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), so there is a chance that the tech giant will officially announce them alongside its latest smartphone.
