Nextbit Robin is coming to India for Rs. 19,999
August 10, 2025
The cloud-centricNextbit Robinwill go on sale in India for a reasonable Rs. 19,999.
Nextbit initially wanted to release the Robin in late April, but regulatory issues caused a delay. As promised, Robin was launched today, with in-store availability to begin on Monday. Flipkart will be the exclusive retail partner at launch.

At Rs. 20,000, Nextbit Robin is quite attractive. For comparison, aMoto X Playcosts Rs. 17,000,OnePlus 2Rs. 23000, aNexus 6PRs. 40,000, and a GalaxyS7 EdgeRs. 57,000. For that money, you get a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. There’s a 13MP camera on the back, a 5MP selfie cam, USB Type-C, and a 2680 mAh battery.
The Robin’s claim to fame is its cloud integration: users get 100GB of cloud storage space that they can use to temporarily move apps and pictures from their phones to the cloud, to save space for content. Apps remain visible on the phone and they can be reactivated with one tap, provided there’s an internet connection. The obvious use case here is for rarely used apps – instead of just keeping them on your device wasting space, you may send them to the cloud and access them only when needed.
The other cool and unique thing about Nextbit Robin is its design. In a sea of golden lookalikes, Robin stands out with its quirky lines and bold colors. The device is available in two versions, Mint and Midnight.
The Robin is not without issues, and you can read all about themin our in-depth review.
Talking at the phone’s launch in India, Nextbit CEO Tom Moss said, “India is home to the second largest smartphone market in the world and it’s hard to ignore. Robin’s premium design and performance are a natural fit for such a demanding market.” The executive also promised fast updates for Robin’s stock-like operating system.
