Oculus Rift and 30 games launching March 28, including Eve Valkyrie

The wait for theOculus Riftlaunch has been a long time coming.Hardware has been reconfigured, refinements have been made,price scandalshave come and gone. But the moment of judgement is almost upon us. On March 28 the Oculus Rift will finally be available along with 30 VR titles including the hotly anticipated Eve Valkyrie. By the end of the year that number will have increased by 100 more games.
Here’s the full list of launch titles for the Oculus Rift, coming on March 28:
As Oculus notes in ablog post: “These games take you to the outer reaches of space, mysterious labyrinths of wonder, and fantastic worlds of adventure. And they’re just the beginning. We’re working with thousands of developers on entirely new VR experiences.” Oculus has also revealed the VR home base for Oculus, called, suitably enough, Oculus Home.
Now, the March 28 date is only for those that managed to be in the first wave of pre-orders. If you pre-order today you’ll be waiting until some time in July to get your Rift shipped. But pre-orders do score two free games: Eve Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale.
For $599 you’ll get the Rift itself with integrated audio, motion detector, Xbox controller and remote. The Oculus Touch controllers will be available later in the year. For now, Oculus Rift is only compatible with PCs, “until Apple makes a good computer” according to Oculus founder Palmer Lucky.
