OnePlus 3 specs leak: 5.5-inch 1080p, SD 820, 64GB, 16MP

OnePlushas begun teasing its new smartphone ahead of its expected launch by the end of next month and today, we’re hearing some concrete information on the specs from perennial tipsterEvan Blass (aka @evleaks). In a tweet, Evan posted a screenshot from anAndroid N previewbuild on theOnePlus 3, which suggests that OnePlus’ new smartphone will either run Android N at launch, or be updated soon after Google releases the update this summer.
What are the specs of the OnePlus 3? According to Blass, the handset will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, which aprevious leak suggests could be of the AMOLED variety. That previous leak also gave us our first look at a render of the new device, which should see OnePlus switch from the glass and plastic materials of the OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 respectively, to a more premium metal build. Indeed, OnePlus CEO PeterLau recently teased the OnePlus 3, when he said it feels “good to hold”.
What about the rest of the specs? Whereas Full HD might be somewhat disappointing for users (like myself) who were hoping for Quad HD, the rest of the specs list is most definitely flagship-worthy. Blass suggests the OnePlus 3 will be powered by aSnapdragon 820 processorwith 64GB storage, a 16MP rear camera and NFC. A previous leak suggests we’ll seetwo versions of the OnePlus 3, one with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage and the other with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage with a price point for both expected to be in the $300-$400 price range.
