OnePlus 5T Sandstone variant teased by OnePlus?

OnePlus has been making itsOnePlus 5Ta more attractive prospect since launch with some additional variants. We’ve already seen aStar Wars-themed model, whilea Lava Red versionrecently went on sale in China. We might soon be able to add one more to the list, too, as it looks like we a Sandstone model could be on its way.
This speculation arrives from Chinese social media websiteWeibo(viaGSMArena), where OnePlus posted an official teaser for an announcement on January 5: check it out below.
The image indicates that there are three days remaining before “the classic returns,” and also includes the Chinese symbol for “stone.” As the original OnePlus was famous (in part) for its unique black sandstone color variant (also used on theOnePlus 2), this may be the classic style being referred to. The grainy texture on the poster background could also be a giveaway, here.
This news follows a “what’s in the box” stunt OnePlus recently did in London, where members of the public put their hand in a OnePlus box to try and identify what was inside. This sparked the initial speculation that a new sandstone model could be in the works when people identified the object as being “like a stone,” with a “slight feeling of sand,” and even, like “the OnePlus One sandstone.”
