OnePlus 7 “series” tipped to launch globally on May 14 (Update)

Update – 12:18 pm EST April 15: OnePlus CEO Peta Laujust posted on Twitterthat we should “check back to see my post this Wednesday” for news about “the new device”, which may refer to the OnePlus 7.
Original story – 6:02 am EST April 15:OnePlusmay be gearing up to reveal theOnePlus 7on May 14, according to speculation from tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) yesterday. Agarwal said the “OnePlus 7 series,” which may include the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, would be launched globally next month.
Agawaral didn’t mention a source or anything else about the nature of the speculation, though he shared an image previously spottedon Weibowhich references the OnePlus 7 Pro.
We shouldn’t read too much into this speculation, as it’s the first we’ve heard of a potential launch date and we only have Agarwal’s reputation to go on.
That said, we already suspected the phone might launch sometime in May, and Agarwal seems confident in the rumor. As a side note, OnePlus also tends to launch its main series phones on a Tuesday — all have been unveiled on this day with the exception of the original OnePlus One and last year’s OnePlus 6.
