OnePlus 7T to run Android 10 out of the box, will have Google apps too!
July 23, 2025
OnePlus has been gradually trickling out new info about theOnePlus 7Tleading up to the launchlater this week(Thursday, September 26). The latest tidbit is confirmation that the phone will be pre-loaded withAndroid 10out of the box.
The Chinese brand says it’s the first OEM to roll out a new phone rocking Android 10. The slight caveat, which OnePlus happily acknowledged in a press release, is that it’s only the first phone pre-loaded with Android 10that also hasGoogle’s core apps and services.

I can’t decide if that’s a simple disclaimer to avoid the “but HUAWEI did it first” complaints, or a bit of shade thrown at theGoogle Mobile Services-lessMate 30 Pro. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Regardless, this is great news for OnePlus 7T buyers who will get all the latest Android features as soon as they switch the phone on.

The handset will also come with all of OnePlus’ custom tweaks for Android 10 via itsOxygenOS skin. These include unique gesture controls, a funky customization menu, Game Space, and much more that you can read abouthere.
OnePlus has been on the forefront of the Android 10 rollout having been among the first to bring builds to beta testers and more recently having delivered thestable release to OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7owners.
As for the OnePlus 7T, we’re still hoping there will be at least some surprises left at the launch in India — maybe that’s beingleft to the TV? — but there’s no doubting it’s shaping up to be an impressive, if iterative, upgrade over the OnePlus 7 series.
