OnePlus adds VoLTE support to the OnePlus 2 with December security update
June 08, 2025
OnePlus has just pushed a newOxygenOSupdate for theOnePlus 2that finally adds VoLTE support, a very welcome addition for anyJio usersout there. OxygenOS 3.5.5 – unfortunately still based on Marshmallow – is rolling out now but it may take a few days to reach everyone. The update also includes the December 1 security patch from Google.
Other changes in the new build include the addition of app lock, so you can secure sensitive apps and files with a fingerprint or pass code, as well as adding battery saving mode, gaming mode and a couple of new Alert Slider options. There’s also some UI modifications, Shelf changes and a redesign of the volume adjustment bar.

OnePlus makes a note that if you’ve never updated the stock clock, calculator and message apps on your OnePlus 2, that those apps will be replaced by stock OnePlus apps after the update. If you have updated those apps then you’ll get to keep them. Of course, if you don’t want them being replaced with OnePlus apps then simply update them first before installing the new firmware.
OnePlus mentions a few specific instructions for anyone suffering Wi-Fi, network or fingerprint scanner issues post-update, so if you’re affected, be sure to read the forum post via the source link below.
