OnePlus starts closed beta program for OxygenOS, requires an NDA
June 27, 2025
Right now, there are two streams ofOxygenOSreleases: open beta and official builds. However, it looks likeOnePlusis introducing a new stream that will bea closed beta.
This closed beta stream will only be open to qualified users – and will require signing a non-disclosure agreement.

According to OnePlus, the closed beta group will be the closest to the OnePlus staff, made up of “elite” members of the OnePlus community. There will only be 100 people in the closed beta program, at least at first.
OnePlus will require all closed beta members to sign an NDA because “testers will often get builds and features weeks or even months before they are released to the public.”
To apply for membership in the closed beta, you must meet three requirements:
OnePlus also points out that being a part of the closed beta community will requireflashing builds“very often” and sometimes having to perform a clean flash, which is only possible through wiping user data off the device. In other words, it will be difficult to be a member of the closed beta group and depend on the OnePlus 6 as your daily driver.
There’s no indication given in the announcement on how long applications will be open. We can only assume that if you are interested in being one of the very first people not employed by OnePlus to see upcoming OxygenOS features, you’ll want to apply ASAP before your spot is taken.
