OnePlus sweetens the pot for Indian buyers by launching OnePlus Care

OnePlus has launched an after-sales service program in India called OnePlus Care. Thenew initiativefrom OnePlus is designed for existing and new OnePlus smartphone buyers. The company is offering buyers three exclusive perks through the OnePlus Care program at no cost whatsoever.
Extended Warranty
The first benefit of enrolling in the OnePlus Care program is a freeone-year extended warrantyon OnePlus smartphones. The offer is applicable for phones still under the original warranty period.

By getting it for free, you end up saving anywhere between Rs 1,299 (~$18) and Rs 2,039 (~$28) for an extended warranty if you have devices ranging from theOnePlus 6TtoOnePlus 7T.
50% off on battery replacement
The second benefit of enrolling in OnePlus Care in India is a 50% discount on battery replacement. This is valid on the OnePlus 3/3T/5/5T/6 smartphones. The original battery replacement cost for these devices ranges from Rs 1,651 to Rs 1,607 ($22-23 approximately). This has now been set at an even Rs 600 (~$9) for all the above mentioned phones.
Upgrade Plan
Perhaps the juiciest benefit of OnePlus Care is the upgrade program. OnePlus users in India will now be able to upgrade their current device to the latest one with attractive trade-in offers.

How to get OnePlus Care in India?
To avail all the benefits of OnePlus Care, you need to download theOnePlus Care appand sign-in using your OnePlus account. You can then link your OnePlus devices and redeem the benefits. If you’ve been using the old OnePlus Care App, uninstall it and then download the updated app.
The company says you can link multiple devices to one OnePlus account. Those going in for battery replacements are requested to make a reservation in advance through the OnePlus Care app.
