It’s tough to figure out whether the Redmi Note 8 Pro out-performed theRedmi Note 7 Prowhen it comes to first-day sales in China. We’ve asked Xiaomi to clarify first day sales of the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China and will update the story if or when they get back to us.

In any event, 300,000 units isn’t anything to scoff at, especially when this is for the Pro model only. The standard Redmi Note 8 is set to go on sale in China on September 17.
