Samsung Galaxy F22 is coming, and new evidence points to a rebranding

August 16, 2025

Samsung quietly announced theGalaxy A22 5G and A22 4G(seen above) in Europe earlier this month, marking the latest budget entries from the Korean manufacturer. Now, new evidence has emerged that strongly suggests the Galaxy A22 series could be the basis for the unannounced Galaxy F22.

The two phones were listed in thesame Bluetooth SIG filingyesterday (June 14), implying that the Galaxy F22 is actually a rebranded Galaxy A22 series phone. We also get a model number for the F22 (SM-E225F_DS), hinting at a dual-SIM variant and matching up well with the Galaxy A22 line’s SM-A225 model number.

It’s unclear whether the Galaxy F22 is based on the 4G or 5G version of the Galaxy A22 though. Both models offer a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging as well as side-mounted fingerprint scanners.

The 4G version offers an unnamed 4G chipset, a 90Hz OLED panel, a quad rear camera (48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP), and a 13MP selfie shooter. Meanwhile, the 5G variant has aMediaTekDimensity 700 SoC, a 90Hz LCD screen, a triple rear camera (48MP+5MP+2MP), and an 8MP selfie snapper.

Either way, the Galaxy F series is generally restricted to India, so it’s a safe bet that the Galaxy F22 will land on the subcontinent as well. There’s no official word on pricing obviously, but the 5G model retails for ~$300 in Europe. India generally enjoys lower prices than Europe, so we’re guessing a Galaxy F22 based on the A22 5G will be a little cheaper if it indeed comes to the market.
