Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro may boast 28-hour battery life

There might not be much mystery left to theGalaxy Buds Proby the time they’re official. Well-known leaker Ishan Agarwal has given91mobileswhat he says are full specs for the Galaxy Buds Pro, and they’re good news if battery life is a deciding factor in your choice of true wireless earbuds.
The combination of the buds and their case will reportedly offer a total 28 hours of playback, Agarwal said. If the specs are accurate, that gives the Galaxy Buds Pro significantly more battery life than the 21 hours of theGalaxy Buds Live. It’s not certain if that translates to improved longevity for the buds themselves, although a separateWalkingCatleak hinted a Pro set might last up to eight hours before you need the case.

The specs leak also hints the Galaxy Buds Pro may be much betterfor workoutsthan the Buds Live orBuds Plus. If accurate, the Pro buds will have an IPX7 water resistance rating versus just IPX2 for the Live or Plus — enough to survive in 3.3ft of water for 30 minutes. You wouldn’t have to worry about sweat or a sudden downpour, in other words.
Agarwal also said the Galaxy Buds Pro would include the expected active noise cancellation, dual connections, 11mm bass drivers and 6.5mm tweeters. Earlier leaks have alluded toAirPods Pro-style spatial audio for videos.
Samsung might confirm these details quickly when it’s expected to introduce the Galaxy Buds Pro alongside theGalaxy S21as soon asJanuary 14. WalkingCat’s scoop pointed to a possible $199 price. If the Pro model is as capable as claimed, it could give Android users (or at least, Samsung Galaxy users) a compelling AirPods Pro alternative with similar intelligence.
