This is your clearest look yet at LG’s rotating Wing 5G phone
August 07, 2025
Believe it or not, there’s still more to see ofLG’s Wing rotating phonebefore its official debut on September 14. Well-known leaker Evan Blass hasposted a set of rendersof the “LG Wing 5G” on his Patreon that provide the clearest look yet at the experimental phone.
The front is by now very familiar after astring of leaks, although it does back reports that LG has adaptedkey parts of its interfaceto the twisty handset. It’s certainly a clearer picture than the videos and abstract renders from before. This also represents a good (if nondescript) look at the back of the LG Wing 5G. This may be a more capable camera phone thanthe Velvet, too. There’s a conspicuous,Galaxy Note 20-style three-camera bump at the back, although we wouldn’t expect similar levels of performance.

The imagery doesn’t provide much of a clue regarding the specs. However, the presence of Qualcomm’s 5G sticker supports claims the Wing will use an upper mid-range Snapdragon 765G to offer next-gen wireless while keeping costs down. Earlier rumors pointed to a 6.8-inch main screen with a considerably smaller second panel.

It’s still not certain just when the Wing will reach stores, or how much it will cost. As the first Explorer Project phone, though, we’d expect it to carry a premium. The bigger question may be the availability by country. While South Korea seems likely to get the Wing from the start, it’s not certain whether the phone will be widely available.
As we’ve said before, however, commercial success isn’t necessarily the main point. The Wing is meant more to push the limits of phone design and see what works — strong demand would simply be a welcome bonus.
