US Mate 10 Pro may feature single-SIM slot, VoLTE support on AT&T and T-Mobile

July 17, 2025

In the aftermath ofCES 2018, all of the focus on HUAWEI has centered on how its long overdue debut in the US carrier market and expected partnership with AT&T went up in flamesat the last second. As a result, it’s been easy to forget that HUAWEI is still bringing a flagship phone to the US market.

The unlocked Mate 10 Pro is set to retail for $799from February 18th, as well as the special edition Porsche Design Mate 10 which will set you back a hefty $1,225.

Both models are a known quantity at this point – you can read our full review of the Mate 10 Prohere, or checkherefor our less-than-complimentary look at the Porsche Design variant – but there are certain specification details that have yet to be confirmed.

Now, thanks to anXDA-Developersforum member with a solid track record of HUAWEI/HONOR leaks, we now have a better idea of what to expect when ourBest of Android 2017 winnerarrives in the US.

Unlike the dual-simMate 9that launched in the US last year (and the international Mate 10 Pro), the unlocked Mate 10 Pro coming to Best Buy, Amazon, and other select retailers will reportedly only feature a single SIM card slot.

Apparently, the models that will be sold carry the model number BLA-A09, which matches unreleased firmware for devices originally intended for AT&T’s retail channels.

Are these unlocked Mate 10 Pro phones retooled AT&T models? That’s the opinion of the aforementioned XDA user known as “duraaraa”, although there currently isn’t enough evidence to confirm these suspicions. As with any unconfirmed reports, it’s best to take all of the above with a pinch of salt until we have the phone in our hands.

There’s also no word on LTE band support, but it’s worth noting that both Mate 10 variants won’t work on CDMA networks such as Verizon or Sprint.

Would you be disappointed with a single SIM card slot, or are you still looking forward to picking up a Mate 10 Pro next month? Let us know in the comments.
