Watch out, folks: Android Q could arrive later today

June 14, 2025

TheAndroid Qdeveloper preview, an early version of the major Android update planned for later this year, may launch today. The speculation arrives viaXDA DevelopersEditor-in-ChiefMishaal Rahman(h/tAndroid Police) based on findings in Google’s Android Q bug tracker.

In the issue tracker, which Google recently made viewable to the public, Google provides a link (highlighted in red in the image below) to a page where you’re able to view previously reported bugs. To access the page, you musthead hereand select the OEM option from the drop-down menu.

If you click through the highlighted link, you’ll betaken to this page, which, as you may see, has the March 11 date already filled in.

This suggests the tracker will begin to feature bug reports from today onwards, indicating that Android Q will also arrive before the day is done.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for this, but if it does launch today likeAndroid P’s first preview in mid-March 2018, Google Pixel owners should be able to test out the software themselves.
