We asked, you told us: POCOphone is by far your favorite new smartphone brand

Each year, the same manufacturers release newer versions of the same smartphones. This scheduled release schedule becomes an almost endless loop. But the market sometimes gets shaken up when a new company hits the market.
In 2018, we saw five companies come out with new smartphones. While some of these handsets could be seen as flops, others shined brighter than the competition.
With all of that in mind,we asked youwhich new smartphone brand of 2018 was your favorite.
Who was the best newcomer to the smartphone game this year?
Blowing away the competition,Pocophonewas the winner of this week’s poll. Coming in with a combined 80 percent of the votes, it’s clear that most of the readers that voted enjoyed the budget-friendly, upper mid-range POCOphone F1.
Coming in at second place is Palm with 6 percent of the votes. While this is a name you might have heard long ago, it’s a completely different company. And while thePalm Phonemight not be running webOS, it does introduce a new companion form factor that some might enjoy.
And with 5.5 percent of the votes, coming in third isBlack Shark. This Xiaomi division was focused on thegaming marketand releasedtwo smartphonesthat took on theASUS ROG PhoneandRazer Phone 2.
