Now, POCOphone head of product Jai Mani has confirmed that the POCOphone F1 will receive theAndroid Qupdate as well. Mani was responding to a user’s query on Twitter.

It’s refreshing to see third-party Android manufacturers explicitly commit to updates — even when these updates haven’t been revealed yet. As for a launch window, recent Android updates have been released to the public in August each year. So we’d expect the POCOphone F1 to receive a stable Android Q update in the months that follow.
It’s also noteworthy that Mani said the phone would getAndroid Pieand Android Q “at least.” This suggests that we might even see Android R on the budget-minded device.
The Chinese brand has also continued to update POCOphone F1 users on various issues and feedback requests. The mostrecent poston the official forum confirms that the phone will be receiving a dark mode for the app drawer, 4K/60fps recording in the camera app, HD Netflix support, and “Okay Google” capabilities.
